We would like to share following important document of solidarity to the Cuban People, which was written by the resisting textile workers of Kazova in Istanbul.

The Kazova workers have occupied their factory last year as a result of the robbery by the representatives of the ruling class in their country, in the guidance of the Revolutionary Worker´s Movement.

They are producing themselves for the people and they look to the experiences of other countries and also share their solidarity with them. Following letter was translated from Turkish and it was sent by the workers to commandantes Fidel and Raul Castro and the Cuban People.

 

We`re sending jerseys to Cuba!

We have prepared the jerseys, to be worn at the friendship match between the BASQUE Youth National Team and the Cuban Youth National team, which will be realized with the internationalist solidarity of Socialist Cuba in Havanna on February 15, 2014. And we´re sending them today (Sunday, February 10). Ahead of the jerseys, we also send sweaters, that we´d produced ourselves for the great leaders Fidel Castro and Raul Castro. We also forward a letter to them, to express our solidarity and deepest feelings for the Cuban people.

To Fidel Castro, Raul Castro and the Cuban People;

The same way you dedicated your free country to the entire people, it continues to be a guidance in our country as well. The dismissal of imperialism from your land and the banner of socialism that you still raise today with honor through the strength you take from your rightness and ideology is fortifying our hope and courage.

 

We want you to know, that we feel proud to have produced these jerseys for the friendship match in Havana on February 15, 2014 between the Basque Youth National team and the Cuban Youth National team, which will be realized by the internationalist solidarity of Socialist Cuba.

We, the Kazova workers, who started actions after the representatives of the ruling class in our country stole our rights and who continued these actions under the leadership of the Revolutionary Workers´ Movement have occupied the factory as a result of that. As recompensation of our claims we confiscated the production tools. And with the slogan we learned from history, saying “the final word will be spoken by those who resist“, we go on with our resistance and work step by step and started to produce. Recently we have opened our “Resist! Kazova-DIH Store and Cultural Center” and started with initiatives to build up a cooperative.

We will produce for the people, in good quality and for a cheap price. Our struggle is not yet finished, only its form has changed. We follow up closely the occupied factories around the world and especially in Latin American countries and we will also show our solidarity with them.

And in the immortal memory of commandante Che Guevara we say: HASTA SIEMPRE - from the land of Mustafa Suphi, who was killed in the wild waters of the Black sea, of Mahir Cayan, who had declared in Kizildere “We are not here to surrender, but to die“, of Deniz Gezmis, who even on the gallows laughed towards the death, of Ibrahim Kapakkaya, who didn´t breathe a word under torture and of Mazlum Dogan, who turned his body to the fire of Newroz towards his tyrants.
